crossdress — wear clothing typical of the opposite sex.

ecchi (エッチ) — Refers to softcore or playful sexuality, within the Western animanga world, in contradistinction to the word 'hentai' which connotes hardcore, perversion or fetishism. Works described as ecchi do not show sexual intercourse or genitalia. Instead, sexual themes are hinted at, and much is left up to the imagination of the viewer. Wikipedia

gender bender — A person which takes their gender roles are reversed or manipulated in various ways.

josou (女装) — Man or boy wearing female clothing.

mangaka (漫画家) — though the Japanese word for a comic artist or cartoonist, I have redefined the word to show one who is both the artist AND the writer of a manga for this blog.

meido (メイド) — A female fictional character who is employed as a maid or a waitress at a maid café, typically wearing a stylized French maid outfit.

one-shot (1shot) — These manga tells its entire story in 15-60 pages, usually written for contests, and sometimes later developed into a full-length manga series (much like a television pilot). Many popular manga series began as one-shot stories.

panchira (パンチラ) — The term refers to an image in which a female character's briefs are exposed for any length of time. The word is a portmanteau of "panty" (パンティー pantī) and chira, the Japanese sound symbolism representing a glance or glimpse. Wikipedia

trap — In the animanga world there is no bad connotation, rather a young boy who, due to insecurity, force feminized, or other reason, dresses up and pretends to be a girl, succeeding so well others do not see them as male. Usually are feminine in their appearance and over shy.
