Definitions
- Body Parts and associated terms —

In the animanga world there is no bad connotation, rather a young boy who, due to insecurity, force feminized, or other reasons, dresses up and pretends to be a girl, succeeding so well others do not see them as male. Usually are feminine in their appearance and over shy.
- kemomimi (獣耳 hiragana けもみみ) — Sometimes written as kemonomimi (獣耳 hiragana けものみみ). Humans that possess animal like features, predominately human and any real animal characteristics are minimal, unlike kemono characters who possess a large percentage of animal parts in ratio with their human parts. Generally kemonomimi characters have ears and a tail which is animal-like. At times this is just part of their attire and can be removed at will.
- nekomimi (猫耳 hiragana ねこみみ) — a character with cat traits, such as cat ears, a cat tail, or other feline characteristics on an otherwise human body, usually female.
- usamimi (兎耳 hiragana うさみみ) — Rabbit ears, also called usagimimi (兎耳 hiragana うさぎみみ).
